Vernette offers you high quality, joyful, energetic flow yoga, slower alignment-based traditional hatha yoga, kundalini, yin yoga, pilates, mellow/chair yoga, pranayama, meditation, kirtan, pregnancy and baby yoga, Zumba, fitness and personal training, nutrition advice, massage, and reiki; through online and in-person classes, workshops, retreats and private sessions and courses in Weybridge, Byfleet, Addlestone, Chertsey, Egham and throughout Surrey. It's Vernette's aim to be able to offer diversity through yoga and other forms of movement and make it accessible to all, no matter what your needs or preferences are - whether it's physical through movement or a deeper connection through a more meditative or restorative approach, Vernette aspires to bring it all together for you.

Earth Core Flow Yoga - Is Vernette's signature flow style of yoga class. A vinyasa FLOW style with some longer holds for strength, balance, pilates core work, all with the breath as the vital link throughout. Designed to challenge the body and empower you, whilst quietening the mind, using an intelligently sequenced series of postures and movements (asanas and vinyasas) that synchronize breath in a continual flow making Savasana (relaxation) at the end, ever so sweet. The transitions are less linear, than some styles, making use of ever evolving alignment and anatomy knowledge (Anatomy Trains / Leslie Kaminoff /Sadie Nardini / Jules Mitchell) of myofascial muscle meridians as a primary tool for optimal strength and safety within the vinyasa-based practice. Working organically from strong foundations (EARTH) up through the CORE to ignite our physical, mental and spiritual potential to leave you energised, calm and back to your true SELF.
On the Vernyoga timetable, there are many styles of yoga and movement to choose and ways to practice; from beginner to intermediate, from slow paced to more flowing, from prenatal to chair yoga. A reasonable level of fitness or mobility is required for SOME of the classes (to be able to get up and down off the floor fairly easily), as they're fairly active, flowing classes, rather than meditative or gentle stretching (except for yin, chair, classic hatha yoga and fusion classes which are more slower paced / gentle / suitable for complete beginners).
Vernette lost and maintained a 4stone weight loss and improved her health through yoga and has practiced and studied for 18years (and continues to study), to offer you a class that has a strong, anatomical alignment focus with assistance where appropriate. It's creative, informative, playful, energising and yet calming.
Vernette brings together all styles of Yoga, Pilates, fitness and bodywork that she has trained in and that has also brought her enjoyment personally as well as various fitness, dance and psychology trainings for a full round understanding of ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually.
Alongside yoga and Zumba / fitness classes, personal training, reiki, massage and relaxation therapies are also offered. Browse the website to learn more.
What makes a great teacher? Two answers from my teachers
“A great yoga teacher embodies the qualities of humility, integrity, patience, knowledge and humour. They are on the path, working on themselves, so they can be a lighthouse for consciousness.” Katy Appleton (appleyoga.com)
“A good yoga teacher is a practitioner not a performer. Always have the time to help, adjust or give instruction in breath work as well as asana and remember to get off the mat. A great teacher needs the eye, the hand, and most importantly, the heart.” Anne-Marie Newland (sun-power-yoga.co.uk)
"A good teacher remains student"

What is yoga? Where does it come from?
Yoga is not tied to any religion. Yoga is an invaluable gift that our ancestors have given us. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature; an holistic approach to health and well being.
