I’m now an Associate of the Newson Health Menopause Society set up by Dr Louise Newson @My Menopause Doctor
I always want to try to keep up to date with the latest evidence based research and information along with offering fitness, lifestyle and therapies to support women through menopause and have been doing this long before the media frenzy around it in the last year. It’s good that people are talking about it but some headlines haven’t been entirely accurate.
Along with the other Menopause courses/CPD that I’ve done with fabulous teachers @Yinstinct Yoga, @Menopause Pilates, Carolyn Cowan and Andrea Howard, I have now completed the Newson Health Confidence In Menopause course…that’s actually for GPs!
Everything I learn helps to make my private menopause sessions, mini online and in person courses and workshops up to date and have the best techniques and advice I can give on the subject.
Educate, Ease and Empower:
*Knowledge is power, the more you know, the less anxiety there is around the subject.
*Lifestyle changes - little tweaks can make the biggest difference. Diet, stress management and exercise
*Yoga, Pilates and general exercise that can be enhanced for menopause to really care for our bones, brains, bring back a bit of joy into movement and helps with symptoms
*HRT. Whether you choose to take it or not, what are the types, risks, benefits, myths and what are the alternatives. Your body and your choice.
As well as my Well Woman Toolkit Course, I also offer online and in person peri to post menopause coaching sessions where I can give advice on the four pillars of health: exercise, nutrition, stress management and sleep as well providing the latest information on HRT and helping to formulate a set of pre-GP appointment questions, so you can be sure to get the right information and answers first time.
